    Beautiful shots! I know Smynx will die when she sees the GTP - stunning blue marks on that beaut! How are their temperaments?

    I can't quite make it out - is there a ring of scales around that blood's eyes seperating the eye from the upper labials?

    I don't know too much about brongersmai taxa, but I am pretty sure you are seeing correctly; and that is one way you can tell a borneo from a red blood.

    Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but someone told me that.

    Pretty sure brongersmai lack the suboculars though - and the orbit contacts the superlabials. The curtus and breitensteini have those tiny scales between the eye and the lip though . . .

    Man, I would LOVE to have a GTP!! They are SO gorgeous! Waaaayyyyy too much work for where I am at right now though! Who knows, maybe someday!

    john, i recognize your work. i saved a picture of yours i found a long time ago of a copperhead. i still have it, and will post it with your permission. it's one of the best reptile photos on my hard drive.
