Humid Hide

Hey, I have a 33 gal tank that i use for my 3 ft male ball. I know that They need lots of humidity especially during sheding. Scence my tank has a metal top i have a hard time keeping the humidity high. Off and on i hear " Humid Hide" how do you make one, and what is it?

Basically it's usually just some dampened sphagnum moss under a plastic container or potting plant with an access hole in it. Put that on the warm side of the tank, and it causes humidity inside it, so the ball can curl up inside and enjoy. :)

For my humid hide I use a six inch plastic flower pot. It has little holes for draining water at the base. I cut up some sponge pieces and hot glued them to the bottom over the little holes. Then I cut an access hole and flipped it upside down. I can then squirt water at the little holes, which re-moistens the sponge. Works pretty good and didn't require a trip to the store at all. Just need to wash it well once a week or so for prevention of mildew or mold. Hang on, I'll post a pic.......................
