    little kids learning snakes
Well last week i brought in my Bee and Fire ghost for my sons class for "Jungle week"

Since the age range was 3-6 (2 different classes) it wasn't as full of the wonderous information i would live to teach but they know why they flick their tongues, i started simpling everything.
About being ecto-thermic and shedding and a few other things but really i spent most of the time having them hold them and showing them how nice and friendly they are.

It was my main point and I had my older son who is 6 to help me out with the ones that were a tad scared and Seeing another kid handling them like him did the trick.

But i didnt want to take pics at the time because my focus was these kids but i got a picture of the pictures that a bunch of teachers took.
Its a big pic that can be zoomed so it might look small here.

I hope it impacts these little dudes in a positive manner. All it took was me to ask and I will be asking when other situations arise.

I have taken my sons snakes into the Special Ed classes at the school......... OMG they loved them....... had no fear.... and to see some of the "more hyper kids" calm down and just stare... WOW.... how can you NOT like snakes when you see how they can do THAT.... :)

Thats a good deal you did. :gj:
Really feel like it gives a good sense of purpose.

I think the biggest fraidy cats in the room were the 7+ adults/teachers that came by to check them out.

I will be taking a few in to my wife's work this fall. She works at a daycare. Every fall they have a week where people can bring in pets and teach the kids.

It does make an impact! When I was in preschool a man brought in some reptiles to show our class. That's when I fell in love with snakes!

That's awesome! We have done this at my daughter's school for 3 years in a row now. It's always so much fun. Nice that we have had teachers open to it. Her teacher from 3rd grade even asked if we could come back to her class this year. It's awesome to educate them on snakes, and see how many of them just love the snakes. I know we have sent more than one kid home wanting a snake. :p. I have a ton of great pictures, I just never made a thread since they werent my kids. Didnt know if the parents would mind their kid being posted on the Internet.
