    what would you do
ok so me and my buddy are saving up quite a bit of cash to put into some more snakes our problem is deciding what to get we have at this time only single gene females of breeding size and a few younger two gene females so we were thinking of either getting alot more 2 and 3 gene females or getting just a couple 2 and 3 gene females and a great male like orange dream or a od combo what do you guys and gals think we should do

Males are dime a dozen and cheap, double and triple gene fees are worth their weight in gold.

    one general rule:

the male must either be genetically more powerful, or monetarily more valuable, than the female. this needs to be true for all pairings. It is a direct result of the fact that males are less expensive, and that you can breed one male to several females.

simple example: compare 1 GHI superenchi male being bred to 4 normal females, compared to 1 normal male being bred to 4 GHI superenchi females.

its the same breeding results, but one is more effective.

A male orange dream would already be a mistake. If you want to invest in 2 or 3 gene females, you should look for 3 or 4 gene males as well.

and read this, its very good: http://ballpythonbreeder.com/2012/02...thon-breeders/

Yes its true, but you should try to produce nice and valuable hatchlings, and that is cheaper to accomplish if you invest more into the male genetics.

pythonfriend one od male is worth more than a bee female so that would justify me getting an od male or od combo male but i do see what your getting at thats y i want a higher priced male
