Does anybody breed their normals to morphs?

Just a silly question as it would seem you would only get hatchlings of that morph or more normals.

Yea but I just want to see if any odd things come out of the normal side :D She has a few odd traits I want to investigate this year!

Do you mean breeding a normal male to morphs or just any pairing with normal and a morph? I bred my spinnerblast male to 2 normal females and got only 1 normal out of 15 eggs. And I plan to do it again.

I have a normal female, and someday in the future, I plan to breed her to a morph male - I'm leaning towards a champagne

Just in general breeding a male or female normal to a morph female/male.

I figured most people are just trying to breed different kinds of morphs to other morphs to see what happens. Has every kind of morph so far been bred to every other morph? or are there still "pairings" out there yet to be done.

There all lost of morph combos that haven't been made yet. There are brand new morphs being discovered every few years.

its just, generally, the male should be genetically more powerful than the female because you can breed one male to several females.

It makes no sense to breed a normal male, but when people have males with many genes in them, it does make sense to breed them to a normal female.

And then there are the dinker projects: A normal seems to have something special in it, you breed in order to find out if maybe its something genetic.

It also depends on the normal female since they vary quite a bit in color and pattern. If you have a fairly bright one you would pair her with a pastel, yellow belly, butter, lesser, fire, etc. to (hopefully) make a brighter one. If she has a reduced pattern then pair her with an enchi, spider, etc. again, hoping to make a better quality morph than the sire.

i feel that breeding a normal male to a female morph is a no no unless its a dinker with good potential i breed my female normals to morph males but i like them to have two genes or more so there is less chance for normals

I got egg hatching from a lemonblast het hypo x normal right now. 4 heads out of 7 are poking out.
