    Who Here Breeds All Year?
I am thinking of doing something like that so as to not have so many babies at once but still have as productive a year as possible. But I wanted to see if there were any cons to doing it instead of the traditional breeding in fall-spring, lay in spring-summer, hatch is summer-fall.

    I do.

I've just started to pair one of my females actually. As long as you keep each female on the same schedule each year then you should be fine. If you need to change a female from a fall breeding to a spring breeding make sure to give her a year off in between.

I breed all year round, watching your females is very important to do it this way as well, you can miss an opportunity if the female is ready, so pay close attention to how your females are acting and what they are doing (cool seeking, feeding habits, etc). I typically have 3 set "seasons" in a year, I start my Oct girls, Feb girls, and then July girls. Although, this year my Oct girls didn't seem to want to take until March and I got hit with a ton of ovulations in a very short period of time.

all 5 of my girls won't go (ovulate) until september at the earliest, based on watching their behaviors.

I do, the balk of my females go during the oct to spring breeding season. but I have females right now between 30mm and 10mm follicles. I check once a month with an ultrasound.

I've tried, but I can't get my males to give a care about the girls between late May and late September. They won't even wrestle when I put them together. For all I know the girls are stuffed full of follicles in the middle of summer, but the boys just don't care about anything except eating.
