    Had a really bad scare!
Just checked on my 2012 male cinny and found him like this. I thought he was dead! I seen him like that even before I opened the tub because it's clear, and I just had this dreadful feeling seeing him like that. But then I saw him flick his tongue and knew he was alive, but was still scared that something was seriously wrong. After I opened the tub he stayed inverted while I ran to get my phone to take a picture. I was only able to snap 1 with flash and 1 without before he flipped over and crawled away like normal. After picking him up everything seems completely normal. I'd expect this from a spider, but from a cinnamon??
Did a small amount of research but not turning up anything clear.
Tempts/humidity/hides, everything the same. Nothing has changed.
Please excuse the poop/shed. I come home on my lunch and check most snakes then, and check some more before bed

I have had males do that if they got a very large meal. Scary!

You sure 'he's not a gravid female? Lol. I've seen my guy do that from time to time too. Usually before a big poop. Could he possibly still have to go and is a little backed up?

Not backed up, I can include a picture of his lower half if you'd like? No sausage butt whatsoever. He's been fed small meals because he has been picky. Poops and urates regularly

I believe ya :) I personally think balls just like doing anything and everything in their power to give us heart attacks lol. As long as he doesn't have any neurological symptoms or otherwise odd behaviors, I wouldn't worry too much.

Yeah no neurological symptoms/odd behaviors whatsoever. Layed him upside down and he flipped right side up immediately. Everything else is completely normal for him. Just very scary for me....Have had snakes for 13 years (since I was 8) and have never seen anything like this

Sorry to hear about your scare! Sit him down, have a one on one with him and tell him that its not nice to scare mommy. Pull his water dish and tell him hes going to bed hungry tonight. Then put him in the corner of his tub and tell him he needs to stay there for 5 min and think about what he did. Im sure he'll learn his leason n not do it again :P hehe

They do do it if they are exhausted as well, just remembered our yb did that after a 24 hour lock. Maybe it was a long shed?
