poor snake. betting he gets euthanized.. someone's dog gets loose and kills neighbors chickens or cats, no big deal. burm gets loose and eats cat because it has to eat, it's news. big bad snake. such a double standard.

Wait, "remains" of one of the homeowner's cats? Since when do burms eat only part of their prey?! And I don't know how you can really call cats that live in a shed "pets".

Was thinking the exact same thing. And when a mammal goes through their digestive system, no 'remains' are left. It's called poop.

sad truth:
in normal circumstances this would be a big story and something for us to worry about.
But now its completely overshadowed by two dead boys and an african rock python. There still is a chance the story with the two dead boys could go away since there are no autopsy reports and no clear description of how the scene looked like, it is unknown of the bodies had bite marks.
But if the other story with the two dead kids sticks, then we can forget about this one.
That being said, a snake this size, if it would kill a cat, would not leave behind "skeletal remains". On its own, it would at a minimum still be: "Giant albino burmese escaped/got abandoned, did stuff and caused a scare". It shed in a shed, sorry i couldnt resist this pun. Especially because it really DID shed in (a) shed.
So, yes, more data on this incident will also be nice, because media ALREADY DOES use this incident to corraborate the big bad story, two children dead, main suspect one african rock python. If we research this now unusually minor incodent it may help, but i can only see the really big story right now, cannot focus on this one.

The reptile report posted on facebook that since it was an albino it will be worked into an educational program. So the snake gets to live...?
