    sheds and ovulation proccess
    i want to start breeding my ball pythons and i dont know the proccess of sheds and ovulation and stuff... can anyone say what is the proccess? and by proccess i mean the time between each shed and what happens after ovulation and stuff..

    what you're asking is covered in the vpi book. to explain this, it would be a whole lot of typing. not sure if anyone will be up to doing that. good luck don

    They will ovulate and then shed about 15 days later. 45 days after ovulation you should have eggs, but that all depends on the female and her temps. Definitely get the book that don is talking about... http://vpi.com/

    the book talks about the 4 sheds during the breeding cycle. which are,

    the preliminary follicle growth period,
    the primary follicle growth period,
    the ovulation period,
    egg deposition period
