    Feeding a two year old
I have been feeding my two year old Rajah 1 adult mouse every 7 to 9 days for the last 8 months. He is about 3 feet long. I know you are supposed to go by weight but I havent weighed him. Is this too much? Too little? Too often? Not often enough? He has been doing great, no issues, but he is growing and I dont want to under or over feed him. Any ideas? I have heard to feed less food more often and I have also heard to feed more food less often. Like a rat every few weeks. That didnt sound right but I want to know for sure. Thanks for your help guys!!!! :)

    Wait...oooh, he's a snake.

    ;)

I recommend making the switch to rats. When he's full grown he'll need a small to medium rat every week or so. It's pretty impossible to tell you what he needs without a weight, but I usually feed once a week, as a general rule. You can feed less often, though.

A pix would help to base what size he should have.

He should be goon on smaller small rats now. Surprisingly they will take larger prey items than you think.

Scales aren't badly priced at all. You can find some in the kitchen section of walmart or order one off ebay.

If your guy is about two years old I would think he should be eating small rats once a week. Adult mice I think are a bit too small for that, but without seeing a pic or a weight who knows.

Small rats once a week to 10 days and get a digital food scale. You will be amazed when the snake starts eating larger meals. My year old has been eating small rats since February.
