Hi i have a 4 month old baby ball that i took in because the people who had her wasn't feeding her and keep her in a very small box with no kind od heating when i got her i went strait and got her a hopper to eat frozen well she eat it and done fine well my other 4 month old ball eats a small mouse every 5 days she is a good size girl. well i waited 5 day and feed her again she ate fine. i have been trying not to handle her a whole let to let her ajust. She has become really aggressive when u try to get her out she strikes and balls up but once u get her out she is ok for a few min then its back to her being aggressive again. i need help what am i doing wrong and what will help her. i am at a loss because my other ball is such a big baby she loves to be handle and Ribbons the new one doesn't want to be touched

It's hard to tell at that age, she just may need more time to adjust and learn that the big bad monster (you) won't hurt her, or she may remain defensive for a long time. My 750g pewter girl tagged me last night - she actually struck at my husband and nailed me instead of him while I was holding her and he was cleaning her tub. She's been defensive as long as we've had her so we just handle her carefully.

I would give her a few more feeds, sounds like she could have hit that "I'm still hungry and you resemble food" stage. Bump her up to the size prey she should be eating and let her settle in before you start trying to handle her again. She could be hungry and going into shed and the stress of a new home/moving etc.

Her weight and girth would indicate the correct prey size she could eat but at 45 months ish, my babygirl can easily take down an adult mouse. You want to feed her something about 15% of her weight, every 5 days until she gets caught up.
