Relocating with a baby ball questions/concerns

Moving from Virginia to Indiana/kentucky. Do I need a permit to travel with/own a ball python?


Hey guys;)
I own a baby ball python and I am relocating to louisville kentucky. I may be staying short term with family in Indiana. I wanted to know if I have to have a permit to own my snake in these places? Plus, I have to travel through West Virginia and the cops are notorious for being jerks (personal experience) So I was just curious if they pull me over do I need some kind of permit to be traveling with my snake? I would hate for her to be confiscated or something because I wasn't aware of weird laws. It only a 10 hour trip but I got pulled over and searched for no reason last time and it worries me. Thanks
