Shedding . Humidty Bump ???

Do you bump up the humidity at first sign of shed ( pink belly ) or when in blue / after blue ... just curious on opinions..

I start at the first signs.

Never had reason to bump humidity which sits between 55-60% in a glass tank. I provide a water dish large enough for soaking and my BP's will soak if they need the extra help. All complete sheds, all the time. That being said if you notice incomplete or difficult sheds there is no harm in increasing humidity.

I bump at first sign as well. For a couple of my girls, this means at pink belly (my Sugar is especially noticeable). For the others, I have yet to notice pink belly and their first sign is when they start to go opaque.

Also, I bump up humidity for everyone during this time with my humidifier on a humidistat, rather than worry about a single snake's enclosure. I go from my normal 55-60% RH up to 65-70% RH in the room. I have yet to have a shed not come off complete.

Any suggestions for humidifiers? I'm new to BPs and have just two babies in a 10 gal tank right now. I know the humidity is low and I need to increase it. Thanks in advance

I went WAY over the top and bought this one for my snake room: http://www.amazon.com/Lasko-1128-Eva...s_267555011_36. I love it, but it's way more than I really need. I call it future-proofing. :)

You don't really need to get a humidifier for a just a 10 gallon tank though - there are easier ways to deal with humidity.

I never had a need to bump humidity. :)

I don't, but I live in south Florida. The humidity in the tubs is on the higher side even with Aspen and small water bowls.
