What kind of Morph is Azel?
I have this beautiful Pastel but she looks like she is more than just a pastel. Please help me figure this out so I have the knowledge and can breed her later!
P.S. Sorry the images are so huge.

Looks like a gorgeous pastel to me. There's something interesting with her head though and she's quite bright. What was the pairing that produced her?

Im not sure what the parents were because I got her free with no background knowledge. But on the sides of her she has a reddish tint. Is that normal in regular pastels? I have a friend who has had BPs for 20+ years and he swears up and down that she is mixed with something!

Pastels all have varying amounts of yellow, orange and reddish hues on their sides. The best pastels have bright yellow sides, the brighter the better. As the quality goes down, then the orange and red creeps in. The poorest pastels have deep orange-brown sides, sometimes with a touch of red.

The reddish hue is not uncommon, although it is hard to find a pastel bright enough for most people to pick out the red. On average I have seen perhaps 2 or 3 with a reddish hue for every 20 or 30 that don't carry any red. It also depends on the age of the baby in question. Very young babies tend to have more of a reddish color than older babies do.

In your baby I see an exceptional pastel. Lovely faded head, perfect even yellow coloration, superb blushing along the back. An A+ baby for certain.

Now, do I think there is something else there? Perhaps....but if I am being bluntly honest, I doubt it. The most interesting thing about her to me is the almost un-noticable granite flecking on her sides, combined with the miniscule "granite" break in her neck stripe. Do I think that makes her a granite pastel? Not really. Do I think she's a good pastel for breeding? Absolutely. If I saw her at a reptile show, I'd snap that girl up in a heartbeat.
