Is it normal for babies to have loose skin?

I've had my ball for about 3 months now and he's only shed once, so I'm assuming he's getting ready to again. He's been eating every 5 days and pretty healthy otherwise, but I've noticed his skin feels quite loose and he's much more wrinkly than he was a few days ago. Is this a normal shed cycle?

It means your humidity is too low.
And it could also imply that he is going to shed soon too. Mine typically don't get wrinkly regardless of going into shed since my humidity is always 60-70%.

I just checked on him and he's definitely shedding soon. I put fresh moss in his hides and misted him with a water/mineral oil mixture the vet told me to use

If the snake starts showing strange lateral wrinkles when it bends (going from its back to its belly) that's when you need to start watching for a shed issue. Otherwise just increase humidity or soak.
