Light stand for a Zoo Med mini deep dome combo
Looking for a good light stand. Does anyone have a preference? I feel like having it sit on top of the cage is way too hot for Ollie. The over all temp was 92 this morning. I misted and it went to 84.

I prefer to use light dimmers to reduce the heat output of the bulbs, but a stand will work as well.

Here is the type of dimmer I would recommend: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lutron-Cr...2#.UfSGghaTN5g

Here is a good lamp stand: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...AvailInUS%2FNo

He is!!! I have both of those and honestly, that stand hasn't come out of the box yet.

As always.... So incredibly helpful. I would be a stark racing mad lunatic by now if it wasn't for this forum and some amazing advice. < A LOT of it from Aaron.>

Do the dimmers work plugged into this? I love this because it turns each of them on when I want and don't have to worry about it.

They should work fine with that.

Please don't quote me, but I would think so. All the dimmer does is raise and lower the amount of electricity the light uses making it brighter or dimmer.

So, you would plug the light into the dimmer, set it where you want, plug that into the timer. When it comes on, it would come on at the power level you have the slide at.
