Hatchling weight
How much does your hatchling weight as soon as it's out of the egg? The heaviest one I've hatch has been 98g
-
It's really variable. I've had them weigh less then 20g for twins or 100g for some really large eggs. What I've typically noticed with my clutches is that the size of the clutch will generally be around 1/3 of the females total weight no matter how many eggs are in the clutch. For example, in a 5 egg clutch from a 2000g female the eggs will be large and larger hatchlings will come out of them whereas a 10 egg clutch from a female the same size will have smaller eggs and the hatchlings will weigh less.

I have hatched hatchlings from 24 grams (not even a twin) to 98 grams but the average is generally in the 60/70 grams range.

Re: Hatchling weight
We had a clutch last year of six eggs, and all the hatchlings ranged from 45 to 54 grams.
-
40-75 has been my range so far.
-
My first clutch in 2012 was from a 27-2800g female, 9 eggs ,most of the babies hatched between 70-80'gs. Runt of the clutch was 54g, the Largest was 86.
Second clutch this year, same female but she didn't make it entirely back to her previous weight and dropped eggs around 2,500g, 7 eggs, Most of the babies were between 60-70 Runt of the clutch 40g,Largest was about 76.

55-75 average for me, but seen a variation in both directions.
