    Help!!!
So I go outside to feed the horses and find a cat in the barn toying with something. As I walk up I realize it is a snake.

Poor little thing is a little roughed up...

Can anyone help identify it so I know better what i'm dealing with?

    I live in mid-Tennessee area.

I was thinking about sheltering it until it is better healed and able to escape barn cats...
    :(

    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!!!

It's a wild snake. In order to keep the wild population healthy, I'd put it back outside. Survival of the fittest is important.

I know its wild. I just figured it was a bit unfair against a cat.

    Cats aren't native to Tennessee.
