    Pics for Kicks
As the title suggested I'm uploading a few just for kicks pics I took today while handling Celia Mae :). Feel free to comment and post pics of your own. No specific theme needed just share w/e you'd like :D.

To be clear she is in a Olive Garden to-go soup bowl that has since been repurposed as a hide. I keep the top on so when she's inside she can't lift the hide, giving the illusion of a heavy, more sturdy hide. Works great!

    She's a pretty girl!
If I was you, just to make sure any sharp edges don't nick her, add a layer of tape around the opening of the olive garden bowl.
How long have you had her?

I agree with the check for sharp edges but don't ever put tape inside a snake cage.

OP could get med tape, it sticks to surfaces well, but won't stick to skin. We use it in the hospital a lot for patients with very thin skin. That's what I'd used with one of my hides way back when & it worked fine. Obviously you don't want to use duct tape or even scotch/masking tape, but non-adhesive med tape would cover any sharp edges & wouldn't stick to his girl if by chance she lifted it up.

Never put tape inside a snake enclosure. Massive potential for bad things to happen. Imo, she'd be better off with a rough edge than tape.

Thanks :) I'm smitten! I've had her for nearly 2 months now. I recently read a thread around here about DIY hides and I tried this out n it worked pretty well. After I cut the entrance holes in the bowls, I used a lighter to melt the edges so they would be smooth. I allowed it to cool then washed out the container and introduced to her viv. I've read a lot of horror stories about ppl's experience w/tape and while I'm sure it can be done safely I'd rather not risk it.

Lighters work too :) We use them to smooth up the edges of the air holes we drill into the tubs.
