Does he remember his escape?

Watson escaped from his tank about 10 days ago. (child did not secure lid!!) We were lucky and found him in a box in a closet the next day. My question is: Does he remember escaping? I ask because he spends ALOT of his time now crawling up the sides and pushing on the lid. He only rarely did this before. Nothing else has changed. Temps and humidity are the same. I did switch him from mice to rats the past two feedings. He ate them like a champ even though they were a little over 15% of his weight. Before this he spent most of his time in his hides. Anything to worry about?

Well, teach him a lesson. Put him in a shower with a large boa and make sure to give him some slippery soap. Tell him this is what happens when he tries to escape. He'll learn to never escape again!

Probably. My only double-escapee's second (and fortunately foiled!) attempt came just hours after her first, using the same method. The first time was from an unsecured door, the second I caught her pushing on the same door, and it had popped from the latch but not let her completely out yet. She was relocated to a tub in my rack within the hour - much fun since I caught her at 1:30 in the morning - and there have been no issues since.
