    Update on my Ball Python
So a lot of you probably saw I had been posting quite a few threads the last few weeks about my first ball python.

So I took her to the vet and the doctor believes it is a female, she did probe her, I'm not 100% sure how experienced she is but I'm assuming she would have to be certified to be doing such a thing as a doctor, but she said because she is so small it was hard to tell? She weighed in at 81 grams, and I had asked you guys about her soaking all the time, due to her possibly having mites, the doctor said she saw no signs of mites, but I will bring in a poop sample as soon as she goes whenever that will be. Hopefully this vet knows exactly what shes doing, I'm assuming she would have to be certified to treat such animals but ya never know how much they deal with Ball pythons directly? She still soaks quite a bit so, maybe shes just a weird one and likes it? My temperatures and what not seem to be correct according to the acurite thermometer with the probe so

I have had her.. 4 weeks rougly now and she has yet to skip a meal. The first two times I fed her, I fed her one fuzzy every 5 days, Then I started feeding two fuzzies every 5 days the next two times, as she still seemed hungry. Tonight I fed her a grasshopper for the first time and she took it within 10 seconds of putting it in her face, She's not a shy eater at all, she doesn't care what's going on in the room, I don't have to cover her cage up or anything.

Sounds like 'she' is doing great!!!! Such a tiny one, you must have gotten her pretty young. I've watched your posts... Think we got our first Bp's at about the same time so it's fun to see your progress. My girl is a pig too, think its time to bump up her size prey.

a grasshopper???? Call me silly but I would only feed mice or rats to a ball python not insects.

Sounds like while she insert a probe in a cloaca she does not know what she is doing which you need to keep in mind.

Why am I saying this? The bolded part of your post ;), they are VERY easy to sex at that age if you know what you are doing.

you don't need to spend crazy amount of money to test for mites at the vet.

Just put her on paper towel overnight. If she has mites, you'll see them.
