    My new Boa!
So I just purchased my third constrictor and my 2nd Boa.

He is a EBV Red Group Pastel Hypo Jungle BCI.

Gorgeous little snake and when my girl gets mature I can make little boa babies! Lol

Here he is, and better pictures to come.

    Too cute! :D

Your last hand pic reminds me of a pic I took of my own little hypo back in April '11:

Bought him from Jeff at Shedskin(awesome dude) in Tracy, Ca.

Jeff put me on the phone with the breeder and he explained the parentage of my new boy.

It's nice having a snake from a known reputable breeder, and a known line. Im pretty excited

So has anyone heard of this line or is it just my area?

The Red Group Pastel is a known line.
Your male will be awesome as an adult.

Here's an adult Red Group Pastel Hypo.

Wow their color changes pretty dramatically!

I'm new to the idea of boa breeding, so I'm unsure how the different traits breed out...

I know on balls the morphs are genetic, and there is a fairly scientific way to guesstimate what you will get with given parents.

How about with boas? My girl is a common columbian BCI, and obviously my male is a EBV Red Group Pastel Hypo Jungle BCI. What can I expect from the offspring?

The one I posted a pic of is a really red one. Most aren't that red. Her belly is even red.

Jungle and hypo are both codominant genes.

Some babies will be more pastel looking than others.
