Love it! This brings back so many memories. Growing up in South Dakota, for several weeks a year we were banned from using our front door as well. Every spring and summer we had three hanging baskets of flowers on our front porch that served as homes to various species of birds over the years. Typically it'd be three sets of Purple Finches, but every once and awhile a robin family would barge in and take over the porch. So much fun!

He looks like a map turtle of some kind to me. I tried looking it up but nothing I saw looks like the little guy.
Know what kind of bird made the nest? Laid the eggs?

Well around here you found Box turtles (first time I found a baby), and a friend confirm that it looks like one.

Eggs (4 of them) are about 10 days old now, I got a good view of mom when she flew in my face when I took those pics :rolleyes: (thought she was gone) and it's a carolina wren.

-Some people do. Saw a couple posts this week where people took in a cat and a dog that showed up on the front or back step.
-Not gonna lie, I have my doubts. That shell says water turtle to me. But I don't live in Georgia, I know someone with a hybrid box/water turtle(supposedly wild bred but captive hatched, very cool btw), and my mud turtle has box turtle features so I can't be dismissive of it being a boxie. Took me like 10 years to find out what my big girl was cause she was listed as an African Sideneck and I could never find exact pictures of what she looked like. Also got a bunch of different answers when posting a pic to forums. I'd go back and forth with wondering if she was a boxie/water turtle/hybrid. Drove me insane but finally figured it out. :)

-Carolina wren looks like a screaming puff ball with legs and will mess up your day if it gets a piece of you. :)

That is adorable baby box turtle! Soo neat. Im soo jealous...everyone i know keeps finding bsby box turtles but me :(

First time I do, I have help several adults cross the road before but never found a baby until yesterday which was a very cool find. :)
