Well yesterday I wento to my local pet store to pick up some substrate because it was thin. But I noticed that they had an adult bp in one of their cages and I asked if I could hold him. It was awsome! I've held colubrids before but bps are totaly different, they are so...thick...and heavy! Now i don't think I can wait much longer. I have the two heat pads at the right temp. Now all I need is a hide and a mouse and I'll be ready to buy him!

Are you going to buy the one you held at the store? Also, you probably don't need a mouse right away, should let him settle in before you feed him. When do you think you'll get one?
-
Well I think I'll be gettin' one form alex hue. And the one at the pet sotre was $80! But he was in perfect condition.

Wow...$80 is actually a really good buy for an adult bp. Especially if it was female. Did they know the sex?

I think he stated that it was a female. And yeha, but I don't have that kind of money. Otherwise she would have bee na good choise.

thats what got me started on snakes really. handling the giants before i really knew what i was doing. as of now i'm still learning, but some-day. then again i do have a fairly large species, my red tail boa is gettin' to be a beast.

80 bucks for an adult? Yeah that's a pretty decent price. And here I am thinking of how I can talk the person at the exotic pet place into lowering the 80 dollar price tag on one of their 4 month old BPs. I'm shy though, so I know I'll probably end up paying the full 80. I really dont mind though, aslong as they can give me some sort of 7 day guarantee or something. And for that price, the BP's better be captive bred and born. :(

I bought a yearling (do they call them that?) for $25 + shipping from a breeder, total of about $62...granted, it was a great deal, but you can still find deals like that if you look.

I bought one for 50 and one for 20 both approx. 5 months. The sub adults there are 60.00 and they don't have any true adults but the closest they have is for 80. I fed all four of mine immediatly when I got home. Mine are eating great on live.
