    Weight loss/work out updates
Hey everyone, I was trolling around on the forums today and noticed that there are a few weight loss/work out DB that haven't been updated in a while. So, since I started working out last year and feel better than ever, I wanted to start a new one where everyone that decided to take the journey to losing weight and changing their body/lifestyle to do it can post some updates. I'll start:

Here's me at the beginning back in Apr 2012 at 220:

Here's me in Sep 2012 after a lot of running and very little weightlifting at 179:

Then the holidays came around, I wasn't watching so much what I ate and went up to around 190 but was still in pretty good shape. Then it got warmer again and I really started hitting my Crossfit stuff that I love so much. About two weeks ago I started following "The Zone" meal plan and have really noticed a lot of difference in just those two weeks. I gotten leaner and stronger then I was two weeks ago and here I am at in the 183-185 range. This was taken this morning:

Needless to say I'm feeling pretty good for just turning 45.

    Holy :cens0r: You're 45??!!

Nice work man!!! You look great!

Didn't like the dizzy/taz tat anymore?

I have to "get back on the wagon". I gained 50lbs back in the last 2 years after losing 116 lbs the previous 2 years.

Thanks for the kind words. I love that tat, it has my daughter and wife's names below each one and it fits them perfectly. The last picture is in a mirror so the tat is on the other side.

116 is quite significant amount...good job there. What got me back on track real quick was looking back at that first photo and not wanting to get to that again. Luckily it was only about 10lbs gained so I caught myself before I put too much back on. Just go back what you did before and you'll remember how it felt.

    Yeah about that pic.....>>:imslow: derp.

Ty. I've been maintaining only the 50 lb gain until I fully get back on the wagon again. I know what I need to do, just need the motivation.

I was kinda hoping that others would post their pictures of how they are doing since I saw so many DBs started on the subject. Oh well, maybe later.

    Anyway to answer some questions:

Blitzjg - I was running 3 miles a day 6 days a week at a 9-10 minute per mile pace when I lost the the weight in the first two pictures. However, I was also losing what little muscle mass I had and was feeling weak all the time...forget benching my body weight. So now I run 200, 400, 800, 1600 as fast as I can and every once in a while I do a 5k or something like that. The best thing for me is that we add some type of weightlifting or body weight exercise into those runs and I feel more smoked than when I was running all the time. I LOVE IT!!!! I even attended a Crossfit Level 1 seminar in June and now I'm a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer.

glk832 - 63lbs is an AWESOME deal. Keep it up, I know you can make the 100 mark because your over half way there.

I'm off my cholesterol medicine, my back feels great, my knees don't hurt, my migraines are nearly as frequent, etc., etc.
