The time has finally come to get Sprocket adequate caging for the rest of her life. I've decided to build one by modifying plans i obtained at *cough* another reptile site i sometimes go to *cough*. The guy who built that one uses it for a cottonmouth. I think if its secure enough to house hots, Sprocket wont be getting out. The cage calls for the inside "box" to be lined with tileboard/shower surround. Has anyone ever used this? I've heard it is good for keeping moisture in and ease of cleaning because its made to go around your shower/tub. I'm using plexiglass for fold down doors and heating pads for the heat. I may have to add a light or che, i'm not too sure yet. Rest assured that i will set up the cage, put it in the room it is going in, and let it "burn in" for a couple of days before Sprocket even gets in it to make sure the temps and humidity are perfect.
Has anyone else ever built their own cages? If so, what did you use?
