    Texas Reptile Expo San Antonio
Is this expo worth making the drive from Houston ? Primarily looking for BP's and racks.

They have gotten smaller since I was a kid, but the last few times I've been to it there were many morphs at fair prices. (I've purchased a nice pinstripe girl for $200 & a 2300 gram proven normal girl for $100). There has always been someone there with rather nice custom displays, but I haven't noticed too many racks. I've even seen caimans. Oh and there's lots of hots. I'm going in September in hopes to get another BP or a copperhead (if I get my equipment and special enclosure set up by then). The people are friendly, the prices good...but it is on the small side, unless you're looking for hots.

I went last year, and I must agree, it is a small expo, however, a Texas go-to for hots, such as vipers and cobras, and even beaded lizards.

Ironically though, the San Antonio ordinances restrict the ownership of "poisonous" reptiles. (I suppose you could point out they are, in fact, safe to eat in court but I can't guarantee they will be amused.)

Thanks for the info. I think I will just wait for repticon Houston to come back around. Maybe the Ennis show the week before. 4 hours is a a long trip for a small show.
