How old is the big one and is it fully grown?

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. The big one is a 2 year old female. Snakes are never really "full grown", they grow until they die. For ball pythons, growth slows down considerably around 3 years old. This girl's growth will probably slow down pretty soon.

Thanks for this comparison picture.

I've seen many people talk about the weights of their snakes but it is really hard to tell sometimes from the pictures I see how big the snake actually is.

My question is how do you get a weight or any measurement for that matter on your snakes? I just picked up a male BP from a reptile show in my area and I was curious as to how I could find out how much he weighs.

Any help is greatly appreciated. :):confusd::salute:

Get a digital scale from the department store - kitchen section. Costs about $20 to $30. That is for the weights.
Get a string and a measuring tape. Start at the tip of the nose with the string and run it down the snakes back all the way to the tail, then measure the string :)

I completely overlooked a digital kitchen scale and string, when I get him out tonight I'm going to try to measure and weigh him.

I weigh mine with a kitchen scale as well. The string idea never occurred to me either. Make sure you get a scale that measures in grams. I didn't pay attention when I picked up mine and now I have to do conversions from pounds/ounces to grams every time.
