    PLEASE HELP! Blood on shed!
We just had our female Spotnose shed tonight. Her hot spot temp is 91 and cool side is 81. Her shed came off in one piece, normally humidity is 50%-60% and durning shed we bump it up to 65%-70%. Her shed had blood on it (as pictured below) right where her cloaca would be. We looked her over and no cuts or anything but a small amount of dried blood right next to her cloaca. We have 4 snakes who have all shed with no problems, in one piece. We want to make sure this isn't a sign of a larger underlying issue. Please help, we are worried about our girl. Thanks in advance!

A little bleeding with shedding is common, I wouldn't worry.

It is normal for them to have a little bit of blood there when they shed. Either on the old skin or on the vent it self

    Thanks for the quick responses!

We have four females who have each shed multiple times and have never seen this. There was obviously blood on the shed as you saw and a small amount on the vent and vistigial foot. Glad to hear its a normal thing to see, we were worried!
