    Still hasn't absorbed yolk sac...
So I have a baby that is on day 63 and now out of the egg. But he still has lots of his yolk sac left. I read on a previous thread to put them in a small plastic container or deli cup with wet paper towels until its absorbed, so that's what I did. The yolk looks very odd to me though. It doesn't have much yellow color to it and it has lots of red blotches. I've heard that you can use unflavored dental floss to tie it off, but I want to hear if that's necessary or not. This is my first baby to ever hatch and I need some help! Any advice is very appreciated..

When you have this type of issue you do put the hatchling in a deli cup with dam paper towel. Once you do that if you do not see any improvement (size of the yolk sac going down) within 24/48 hours you need to cut the egg sac off, then give the hatchling before assist feeding.

This will give you an idea on what and how to tie a knot before cutting.

Don't tie the knot too close nor too tight.
