Question for You Genetic Wizards!
So I bred my Het Caramel Albino x Het Caramel Albino...the outcome is 1 visual Caramel Albino and 3 normals/hets.. My next breeding was a visual Caramel Albino x Het Caramel Albino, these eggs just hatched and all 3 are normals/hets...
My question is...what should've been the outcome and what would be normals or hets?? Also...if I bred my visual Caramel Albino x Normal, what would be the results from that breeding?:D
Thanks for reading!

Re: Question for You Genetic Wizards!
Ouch, that's some unlucky odds. If it was a het you'd be looking at 50% chance of a caramel albino per egg, but as you have it you have 3 100% hets there.
Visual CA to a normal would produce all 100% hets also.
Re: Question for You Genetic Wizards!
For the first pairing you achieved the most likely outcome. 1 visual and 3 66% hets.
For the second, if it was visual to het, you had a little bad luck. The odds should have been this: 12.5% chance no visuals, 37.5% of one, 37.5% of two and 12.5% of all three being caramel albinos.
Three eggs is a very small sample set. As the sample size increases the outcome more closely resemble the "odds".
Like others have pointed out all the babies from the second pairing will be 100% het no matter if the mother was het or not.

They will not be normal, they will be 100% het

Re: Question for You Genetic Wizards!
Thank you everyone for your input...I was making sure my mad scientist skills were accurate lol :sly:
But I bought the caramel albino and het caramel albino as a pair and I was told she was 100% het, but from 5 eggs (2 were slugs), so 3 fertile eggs turned out to look normal, but a least now I have a proven 100% het now..Hopefully one is a female.:D
As for my first pairing...the pair were 66% het caramel albino and I hit a visual out of 4 eggs, so those odds are correct. But does that make my breeding pair 100% het since they produced a visual caramel baby for me?
Thanks!
