So after my bp has settled for a week should I try feeding him that day?

I offer food to all mine the day they get here. I have a pretty good success rate.

To answer your question: yes, try offering a meal to the little guy. If your ball doesn't take it then offer 5 days later.
For handling during this time some will advise to not handle him either until he has taken at least one meal. Others will offer to not handle until he has taken at least three meals. That is at your discretion. What I do is let them settle for a week, offer a meal, then handle 3 days later. Haven't had any not take a first meal with me yet.

Hmm, I wonder what other people think, he was hatched on 13 June and was last fed on the second, I might try it before the week's up. I would be more comfortable if he were older but being so young I wonder if it might be more harmful to wait the full week.

I think you will be fine if you wait, but it won't hurt to offer before then either.

Here's his current set up, he's still yet to use the hides, I did replace them and modify their entrance to make them more secure.
I'm going to bet he'll really like Cypress mulch but I figured I wouldn't switch him until after the week.
