Advice from people whove been to Daytona
Ok..so were going to Daytona for the first time ever this year,( flying down from DE :D)and I wanted some tips/advice from those seasoned Daytona veterans. I have a lot of questions too....1.Is the Saturday night auction good n worth going to? 2.Are there a lot of T vendors? 3.What are the prices like for stuff there(including animals) 4. Are a lot of big names there? 5. Is there a lot of rare stuff there? 6. Which of three days is best n why? 7. Is there a good bit of gift type herp stuff - tshirts, jewelry, statues, etc? Anything you could give me would help. Im also excited to meet anyone thats going, so let me know so we can meet :D

1. Saturday night auction is one of my favorite parts of the Daytona show! They have a lot of cool stuff up for auction and it goes for a good cause.
2. I'm not sure on T vendors, I always kind of skip over those tables. :(
3. I would say prices are pretty good! You can snag a lot of great deals and people are usually willing to bargain.
4. It's been a good mix of bigger names and some more local vendors.
5. I do see more "rare" stuff at this show vs others I go to.
6. Saturday is best for seeing all the animals (before they get sold) and the auction is a lot of fun!
7. I've bought a good amount of Herp related trinkets from different vendors and at the auction!

Re: Advice from people whove been to Daytona
Unfortunately a lot of the big names stopped coming a few years ago when the Florida laws were passed regarding the big snakes, but there are still a ton of vendors and still a few of the big names show up (I believe BHB is one of the few if not only vendors that has been to every one).
I agree, the auction on Saturday night is a blast!
