Your first breeding experience...
Whenever I browse through reptile related media, (which is all I do with my spare time lol) among the many wonderful experiences a herper has that I've read about is the first clutch of eggs or litter they produced. To actually stare down at some baby reptiles or eggs and think "I did this :)" for the first time has always been glorified with pride, awe, excitement, and fascination. I don't know what it's like, but I can always imagine, and just cannot wait for the day. (I'm stuck between just being impatient by sticking with normals and buying a male normal ball, or waiting another year or two to get the finances and produce something more 'fancy'. More likely the latter though, since it's the more responsible way to go.)
For those of you who do have experience, and may already be on your second, fifth, or 90th clutch, what was it like producing your very own reptiles for the first time? I want to know, not just what did you produce, but how did you feel about it? What is your story?
Oh yeah, and pictures always make a story better! ;)
Your first breeding experience...
My cinny laid her first clutch yesterday. It was my first clutch ever. Honestly, I wasn't really that excited. I've seen and held the eggs before so it was more like "only 5?! I want more!!!" I'm much more excited for babies to poke their heads out. :)
