This morning the timer turned the lights on and i woke up just to check on my male Veiled. Well to my surprize he looked very, very distressed. He was moving very strangely and i was very worried. I went to get an ice cube to put on the screen and noticed a bit of skin was coming off around his vent. I was elated. It is his first shed in my care even saw him eat some of the shed skin. Chameleons are so cool. He only has a little bit left on the left side of his face. If he is not able to get it off by tomorrow evening I will help him out a little.

On another note. I had named him Pokey and my wife said that he needs another name, a stronger name. She said that Pokey is to wimpy for him.
    Any suggestions?

Chams can be a real pain when they shed... I know mine take forever and a day. I'm so used to my geckos getting it all off in just a few minutes. Sorry I can't help you out with a name-- I'm horrible at naming stuff!

I decided to name him Helios the greek god of the sun. That certainly sounds better then Pokey.
    Here is the definition http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=helios
    Helios it is.
