    Our first Retic!
We picked this little male Genetic Stripe up this past weekend at the San Diego Super Show!
Already love his personality and intelligence!
And can't wait to see how he progresses.

My only worry with getting him is Retics may become just as addicting a our BPs and Boas!!!

Oh, they are even MORE addicting! Got my first Mainland Albino White Phase here about a month ago and have to use every ounce of self control not to dive into another right away. Even in the month I have had mine, he's already starting to beef up. This first year with retics is always a joy to see them go from that little worm to a hefty beast! I am LOVING the bigs!

Congrats! He's super neat looking! He's so freaking cute. I just want to hold him. :D lol and I hear you on the fear of getting just as addicted to retics. I want one when I move out and what I learned from getting a male BP first (because I was like I'm never going to breed and a male will stay smaller) is start with a female just in case. :P

FWIW - Females are a lot more docile than males when it comes to being adult retics, so they are better handling, but because they are females, they get quite larger in contrast to the males. But it's a trade off for the males normally rough behavior during breeding season - I know my adult male wants to kill anything daily and is arching like CRAZY to be put in with a female . . .

To the OP - Congrats on the new addiction! Genetic Striped are great retics - since they were founded in dwarf populations most tend to stay quite small fortunately. Now, if it's got any "het albino" possibilty, there is a great chance that it is only going to be 50-62.5% Dwarf blood, which will make it a larger growing GS. Again though, grats on the new worm ;-)
