A whole lot of firsts in one clutch
The clutch you are about to see was an unintentional pairing of a normal male to a normal female. The short version of the story is that we housed these two smaller 1100 gram snakes together for a short period during the breeding season as they were both thought to be females. During this period, we discovered they had locked, and were separated immediately after and re-sexed. The normal that turned out to be male was purchased 4 years ago as a female hatchling from a local pet shop and never sexed by me. The female was traded to me and I sexed her the day she was picked up.
I didn’t think much of the single lock and didn’t even consider the female laying a viable clutch, but against all odds she managed to squeeze out this odd set of eggs.
This clutch hit a lot of firsts for me, and I will list them below.
1. Smallest clutch laid (2 eggs)
2. Smallest female to lay (1100g)
3. Smallest egg to be laid (49g)
4. Largest egg to be laid (131g)
5. First unexpected/unplanned clutch
6. First boob egg to be laid
7. First normal by normal pairing
I wonder if this will result in any other firsts…
First egg to rot during incubation?
First twins or triplets?
Smallest hatchling?
Largest hatchling?
Either way, it is an interesting clutch considering its normal x normal. I am curious to see how this pair of eggs pans out in 58 days.

Technically the female is a het hypo, but I got her without paperwork and haven't bred her to a hypo to prove her out, so for all intensive purposes she is a normal.

That potato egg is fairly interesting. Looks like 2 eggs have fused together. I wonder if there are two hatchlings in there?
I agree with this! I wonder if you have twins hiding in there! Then your 2-egg clutch turns into a 3-baby clutch!
Congrats!
