    Pastel Genetic Stripe Project Question
I'm doing my first recessive project and I have a couple questions I was hoping someone could help me out with!

I have a male Genetic Stripe and a female Super Pastel that I would like to breed together to start a Pastel Genetic Stripe project. I know when I breed those two together I will get all Pastel het Genetic Stripes but what percent HET would they be? I was assuming they would be 100% het Pastel Genetic Stripes, is this correct? Then I would have to breed a male and a female from this clutch together to have a chance to produce a visual Pastel Genetic Stripe? This clutch would be half het genetic stripes and half visual Pastel Genetic Stripe right?

Just want to make sure I'm thinking about this correctly. Any input would be appreciated, thank you!

Re: Pastel Genetic Stripe Project Question
Yes, breeding them together would give you pastel 100% het genetic stripes.

The 50% or 66% you sometimes see is the outcome of breeding a het or hets together. For example when you breed your G-stripe hets together every baby that does not visually show g-stripe will be a 66% het g-stripe until breeding proves otherwise.

Here is what you would get from breeding your Pastel Het G-stripes together:
    6.25% Super Pastel, Genetic Stripe
12.5% Super Pastel, Het Genetic Stripe
    6.25% Super Pastel
    12.5% Pastel, Genetic Stripe
    25% Pastel, Het Genetic Stripe
    12.5% Pastel
    6.25% Genetic Stripe
    12.5% Het Genetic Stripe
    6.25% Normal

    Pastel Genetic Stripe Project Question
Fun project! Pairing a genetic stripe male to a super pastel female all babies would be pastel 100% het genetic stripe. Then comes the long time of raising your babies. You could do brother to sister or father to daughter next. Siblings gives you a chance of super pastel g-stripes but breeding back to the visual g-stripe father increases your odds of visual g-stripes but you couldn't get super pastels.

World of ball pythons is another great site with a genetics calculator.
