Ball pythons skin ripped off...I can see the flesh, help!
About a quarter of a square inch of flesh came off of my baby ball python after he got stuck to the adhesive used to hold the themometer to the side of the tank...
it's not bleeding but he seems very frightened....I ran the wound under water and changed the substrate to something that won't stick to it. I have read on some websites to put neosporin on it and it should be ok?
Any advice?

neosporin won't hurt. and just keep it as clean as possible. if you take it to the vet they'll probably just put it on antibiotics to keep it from getting infected.

Is it okay to use a cloth towel as substrate? I don't have any newpaper...
