Girls off feed and building but now eating?
I have a quick question. I have two girls that are in the 2300g range (a pastel and a pied) that I starting pairing in October. In November they went off feed. By February, I was feeling some decent size marbles. From April till about 2 weeks ago they have been about ping pong ball size. Since the pastel's last shed her color has been quite different so I thought she was in glow. She just shed about a week ago, so I thought maybe she had ovulated and I missed it.

Yesterday I was feeding all the other girls, and I opened up the bins to this two girls and by the way the came up to me, I knew they wanted me to throw them a rat, so I did and they both took it.

So my question, if they were off feed since November and just deciding to start eating again, is this a sign that they are going to reabsorb or already have? Or did they just perhaps decide they were getting hungry and wanted something to hold them over and is nothing to worry about?

I have had girls take food just before they ovulated. Perhaps your still have not ovulated? Only time will tell.

Thanks. I am hoping that is the case. I was really looking forward to these two this year.
