    Rufous Beaked Snake feeding
I can't seem to find my digital camera or I would of made the video with it. I wanted to study how much of their vision they rely on and how much scent. Normally they don't flick their tongue as much as say a BP or a Boa. I discussed this a bit with Skiploader before doing this because my feeders aren't aggressive like some can be. Mine just go up to it and start to swallow, they don't strike so I wasn't worried about hit quickly. Two of the videos were my little one who always likes to come out the tank when my hand goes in, and the one where you see the snake grab the food and start to leave is one of my bigger ones which is shy. Disregard my commentary as I was pretty much talking to myself about I shouldn't be doing this, because I don't like handling them when they're eating or anything. In one of the videos you can see after my little one swallows the pinkie, he literally sniffs my pinkie and goes to eat my pinkie which at that point I rotated my wrist which was like 2" from the carpet just in case I had to do something like that. So what I've discovered is that while they do rely mostly on vision, at close range they do start relying on scent more then normal. After I put my phone down and picked him up with my right hand he wasn't trying to eat my finger anymore. Well without further delay here are the videos.

They are SO CUTE when they're feeding! And they eat so fast! I can see why you love them so much. I about died laughing when he went to bite your finger...saw that coming a mile off.

It's too cool you can feed them on your hand like that.

Well they rely mostly on vision to eat, so I didn't know how they switch when in feeding mode. I kept close to the carpet for that exact reason so if I had to flip my wrist he wouldn't fall but an inch or two. I seen it coming as well, believe it or not, which is why I was trying to move the tip of my pinky finger away, lol.

It really is. Though I wouldn't say a hognose feeding is that cute, lol.
