Feeding Ball Pythons

Okay, so I just fed my ball python about 20 minutes ago. I fed it in a separate container (Sterilite tub). But, I am wondering if I should keep feeding it in the Sterilite tub or in its own enclosure? People say it is a myth that feeding your ball python in a separate container is better. Then again, people say it is better to feed your ball python in its own enclosure. Someone please tell me which option is better to feed a ball python in. Thank you.

Feed it in its own enclosure.

I feed all mine in their enclosures. They don't care, they love it.

Some of my girls hit their rats like it's their last meal on earth. You couldn't pay me to stick my hand in there to move them on feeding day. The other six days a week, they're puppy dogs. Feed in the enclosure.

Feed it in the enclosure. There's no need to add the extra stress of moving them back and forth for eating. They aren't an aggressive snake and they can't be trained to be aggressive. Some people have issues with them being "bitey" if they feed them in the enclosure, but I honestly think those snakes aren't being fed enough. Most of my snakes will lay there like nothing happened when I open their tub on a normal day. However, on a feeding day when they hear/smell rodents they are ready to tag me when I open their tub.

Mine feed better in their own enclosures. BP's don't typically chase down prey, they ambush it... though I have a male that must be a reincarnated king snake because he'll chase the rat and bite it on the rear end. Most of mine wait in a hide until the prey pokes a nose in, and then they grab it. And yeah, there's that whole putting your hand into the tub when they're in prey drive that just isn't real smart, I got bit once doing that...

Feed a BP in its enclosure. There are downfalls to taking your snake out of the enclosure to feed it and I won't get into all the details but it's less stress on your snake.

I personally feed in a different container. My little guy was such a bad eater at first I now put him in the feeding tank and any movement he sees he whips his head over too look. I've got tagged twice by him in his feeding bin, and his feeding response is amazing now.
