    Female in water bowl
Does anyone one know why my female BP (1475g) is now staying in her water bowl? She's know in a tub and will not leave the water bowl. The temp is 90.3 and the warm side is about 83, humidity is 78ish, aspen bedding, one hide with back heating. She moved the water bowl to the hot side. I don't know what she's doing but has not left it for 6 days now. I keep checking to make sure she's alive and she is.

Is she going into a shed cycle? Any sign of mites?

How is the humidity? Where are you at geographically?

Humidity is up close to 82ish now. I am in lower GA by the coast. Her and the other big female I have are the only two of my 6 snakes that are in their bowls. The 3 males or small female are not in there bowls all day long. All the snakes are in a rack system.

Humidity should be fine then. Are your temps good? Too hot may make them soak to cool down a bit? :confusd: Does she have a hide? Maybe she's just using her bowl as a make-shift hide?

Uhhhh.....did you breed her this year? Most of my female make "ball soup" for a week or so when they have been bred.

If you're sure there are no mites, her humidity is good, temps are good and she has hides, I'd just keep an eye on her for a while. My guess is she's gonna shed in the next couple of days...
