Here he is. Picked him up today and he appears to be very healthy!!!

He ate a few crix and some greens tonight, but I didn't want to feed him too much before lights out.

I also am not sure about him drinking, he won't take water out of a bowl. Maybe I can just mist the greens a little in the morning.

    Meet Emo!
Bearded Dragons do not drink standing water....they only drink droplets or get their moisture from their veggies.

He's adorable! Great picture too. Beardies don't really drink out of a bowl... babies will soak in one every once in a while but adults get almost all of their moisture from their food. If you leave a water dish in the cage he'll probably just kick stuff into it and make a mess, like beardies do best. ;)

Haha yep, already done that. I thnk I'll just make sure to mist the veggies down before he eats them tomorrow morning.

Another thing........sleeping lizards are no joke. As soon as "lights out" came around, he retired to a comfy corner of the cage and that is it!!! I actually tried to stir him a little bit, but to no avail. My friend's iguana is the same way, it must be a lizard thing.

Its funny to see this though, my ball python roaming the cage all night and the beardie all passed out. During the day the BP is nowhere to be found, but the beardie is looking at me like "let me out of this cage and hold me dammit!!"

I actually caught this one tonight before the lights went out for the beardie. Both animals out at once, possibly a rare sight.

    He's awesome, Brad!!

I have a small water-dish in my cage. Sometimes, he'll sit with his front legs soaking in the "pool." LOL SOME beardies will drink from a dish, but most will not. I also spritz his veggies with a little extra water when I put them in there...and I give him a "rain-shower" every couple of days. I hold him in my palm and spray him down really well. He seems to love it! On the days that I don't hold him like that, I will mist him in his cage some.

    Update on Mike
Eddie, I'm suprised your gf isn't crazy about having a beardie yet is cool with the ball python. Most everyday people think I'm nuts for keeping a snake; they just don't understand that its something more about them. There's no denying that beardie's have much more personality than a bp, but each are great in their own way.

    Hey, nice guitar.
Oh, and the beardie is cool too.
    And the ball python.
    That guitar looks expensive.
Oh, and how big is the bearded dragon cage?
    Bye.

That guitar is a Washburn D-10N, it was somewhere around 600, not too bad for a nice acoustic. I've got a fender tex-mex strat and an Ibanaz double cutaway as well.

The beardie is in a 40 gallon breeder tank.
