    Most Common Morph?
    So, I'm curious, as always.

In pet stores, it always seems like the BPs they're selling have the same morph, but it never says. It's just labeled "Ball Python". What's the most common morph? Or what morph is most commonly found in pet stores?

Gotta be Pastel...the "Gateway drug" of ball python morphs...:)

pet stores would be the normal, while the most common morph would be either a spider or pastel.

While some chain pet stores (not talking about specialized herp store) start to sell morphs , most have normal.

You can sometimes see basic mutations such as Pastel and Spider.

Alright, that makes sense. Pastel and spider are both rather lovely, not that I'd trade Monty for either. Maybe I'll get one in the future.

Either way, thank you for the information. :)

I'd agree with either pastel or spider being the most common morph you see if it's not a normal. They don't normally spend a lot of money on a snake so something in that cheap range that they can jack up the price because a lot of people don't know about these forums or kingsnake or places like that.

I would have to say pastel.

I have to agree with the others..pastel all the way.

Pastel. Then I'd say Spider after that. I've seen the occasional Pinstripe as well. That's about it for single gene morphs. Although the Petland here is unusual. They currently have an Albino and a couple Pieds.

[COLOR="#006400"]My local Petco carries spider balls and pinstripes pretty regularly. But they are of course horrible over priced./COLOR]
