My Ball won't eat.
I have a 3 years old Ball it won't eat it been 4-5 week now. Is this normal? Everything's is normal temp is good very active always roaming around and peeking out the hide.

How are you measuring your temps? What are your temps exactly? What are you offering, how, and how often? Ball pythons are not active during the day. If it's moving around a lot during the day it's stressed, likely from improper husbandry.

Temp is 83 on cool side 90 on the hot side. I give him a live small rat every 2 weeks. He roam around at night.

How are you measuring your temps? Do you have a heat pad and is it regulated?

I have one of those acurite from walmart and I'm using CHE on a light stand.

Has it been losing weight? If it hasn't, I wouldn't worry too much. You feed every two weeks, so 4 weeks off is only two feedings. Unless your snake starts losing weight instead of maintaining, I would just continue to offer on a regular basis.

A 3 year old could go months with out eating. Any chance the snake is gravid?

It not losing any weigh and look very healthy.:)

Re: My Ball won't eat.
My male last ate on 5/11. He is in a rack with 8 other BP's that are all eating, shedding, pooping, and happy. I've checked and re-checked his temperatures, humidity, he's happy in his hide during the day and out at night, not losing weight, etc. It's just something they do periodically and yes, it drives you crazy.

X2 when I first got my 08 spider last year she didn't eat for almost four months. She lost a bit of weight but I had her bet checked and everything turned out fine. Literally after I took her to the vet and spent the money to make sure she was okay she ate within two weeks haha. I was so worried.
