    Feeder rats in Southern California??
    Hey guys,

Just wondering where you guys get your feeder rats/mice from around southern California. What are the prices??
I thought about buying rats online (rodent pro), but the shipping fee is just ridiculous! and most of the large feeder suppliers only do free shipping in east coast!
Maybe some of you can recommend some local rat breeders in southern california? Really appreciate your info!

What part of Southern California? I saw a few ads on Craigslist a couple months back for feeders in San Bernardino at $1-2 each. Also saw an ad for Anaheim, but can't remember the price. One breeder in Perris was selling out, but I'm sure they are gone now. LLL Reptile in Menifee has feeder rats for $3+ depending on size. A small pet store in Hemet has the same prices. Also what quantity are you looking for? I have a small breeding colony. Right now working up a supply right now, but at some point might have extra available.

Layne Labs is in Southern California. I'm not sure if you can pick them up locally, but shipping is pretty reasonable and the quality pretty good.
