My daughter's boyfriend was in a car accident, please keep him in your thoughts.
Hello everyone. I received some sad news last night. My daughter Ambria's boyfriend Brandon was in a terrible car accident. It seems he and his little sister and a friend went to Six Flags to celebrate his sister's birthday. We were hit by some severe thunderstorms and torrential rain yesterday. The kids waited out the worst of it, or so they thought. It seems shortly after leaving the park, a second wave of torrential rain hit, and Brandon lost control of the car in hit a tree. His sister was unhurt, his friend suffered only a minor cut. But Brandon, in an effort to protect his friend in the passenger seat, broke both bones in his left arm and his left leg. He was in critical condition when we got the call. They did immediate surgery on him around midnight last night. Two rods in his arm, and two in his leg. My daughter stayed at the hospital with him and his family all night last night and a good part of the day today. Late this afternoon his condition was downgraded to stable and he was moved to a private room. He cannot sit up without help, and he will have to relearn how to walk once the surgery heals up a little. Apparently, he was pinned in the car for several hours while emergency crews cut him out. They had to cut off the roof of the car and the door to free him. At some point, he told his friend if he did not survive, to make sure Ambria knew he loved her.

This has been a very rough night and day for us, my daughter especially. So if you could send kind thoughts his way, it is really appreciated.

Being trapped is scary and the extractions are a different way to exit the car that's for sure, im glad they got him out and to the hospital without any more complications! Your daughter sounds like a girl any guy would be lucky to have, specially now. I wish him nothing but luck in healing fast an strong! An I hope both family's are able to rest easier with his condition starting to stabilize.

Sending well wishes his way. Sounds like a very stand up man if his first instincts were to protect his friend.

I'll keep him in my thoughts.

My sister was recently in a really bad accident as well. She's lucky she's alive, and walked away with only bruises.

Your daughters boyfriend must have had an angel watching down on him and keeping him safe!

Thank you all for your support. Brandon is doing well. Ambria spent most of the day today at the hospital with him. They are sending him for rehabilitation tomorrow. It seems really soon to me, but the hospital claims they have no medical reason to keep him there, so insurance won't pay if he stays. Crazy. He just recently turned 18, so he's about 15 months older than Ambria.

I wish the best for him. It really shows how anything can happen. I make sure the people that I love know it everyday just incase. I could leave my house in 5 min and die... Scary thoughts, glad the 2 others weren't hurt. He's very brave for what he did. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
