Question about first shed
Hey!
Recently I had a clutch of 9 eggs hatch from a normal female I picked up off craigslist, and she was paired to a male yellow belly. 50% yellow bellies, and 50% normal was the result. All males but one female yellow belly lol.. anyway, one of the yellow bellies just had its first shed, and it was a good shed! I noticed however that the shed was completely clear like that of one of my ghosts or albinos. No markings, no color at all. Is this normal? The yellow belly is not a ghost.
Its my first clutch :D Thanks!

Haha I seen you FB post. There are many experienced people here they for some reason didnt feel inclinded to answer. It seems as if most didnt even look at it. Now saying yes its normal right away is easy sometimes we just wanna see pictures of snakes since that's what we all have in common. Forums are different than Facebook a lot different. Glad they helped you so fast

O an as of me posting this 54 people seen this an that includes me 3 times. My guess is most figured google would easily answer your question or knew you had already posted it somewhere else, so comes down too If noone reads your thread no one there to answer your question.

So did you get twins or is one of the babies half Normal and half YellowBelly?
You can't have 50% Normal and 50% YB with 9 hatchlings!

To answer my own question, yes it's normal. One of the normals also shed today and it was clear as well.
Thanks anyway, have a good one.
Yes there are a ton of very experienced breeders here!
With forums you don't always get responses right away like you tend to do on facebook. They both function in a different manner and forums are obviously broken up into different sections that people have to browse thru. Whereas with Facebook a new post is right at the top for everyone to see.
Re: Question about first shed
I think part of why you didn't get an answer was the format of your original post. It was one chunk of words, I almost didn't notice there was a question, and I'm VERY detail oriented. So maybe consider making sure queries are written more concisely before getting snotty about a supposed 'lack of experienced' breeders?
Also, I'm self-admittedly terrible at math, but even I can see a problem with a 50/50 split in a clutch of 9... Soooo what were the results again? Possibly with actual numbers and pictures? Thanks.

Question about first shed
I saw the question, and asked for a picture, which you ignored. Unless you have multiple generations of parents on both sides, there was a slim chance that there were some unknown hets. Since you didn't know a yb could shed clear, why should I assume you know what a hypo yb looks like? I try not to give canned responses without having the full picture, no pun intended.
