Urates? (giant picture of urates warning)
So my redtail girl has passed urates once in the past month and pooped none. This didn't bother me as she's been holding on to it longer as of late. This morning I found this in the cage. The things that were bothering me were this: The one urate with the yellowish crystal like things all over it didn't seem right. The completely yellow one was hard as a rock which I haven't seen before. And lastly the mostly yellow one at the bottom appears to actually be white but just covered in little yellow bumps.

I know there can be a bit of variation in how urates look, but I haven't seen anything like this before. I'm figuring the brown is just a little poo that came out with them. However I am concerned that it could be somehow parasite related.

She's been acting perfectly fine I so figured I would ask you all before panicking and taking her to the vet. Thanks for any thoughts you have.

I should also mention, she's a red tail boa in an AP T8. Hotspot is 89, ambient 79 and humidity 60%

Looks normal to me, but if you have concerns I'd visit the vet.

Looks fine to me, exceptionally large urates are often a sign of dehydration but I don't think that looks bad

That looks fine to me too. The first time I saw urates like this I thought they were moldy and freaked out cleaning everything but as it turns out, they can just be that colour.

It happens, don't sweat it. It's not like our pets can actually speak to us and tell us what's wrong or if anything is wrong, so sometimes we just assume.
